BOYLAN, CHADWICK, PADGETT, WALKER posted by Teresa Lynch on Saturday, May 8, 1999

Searching For Family Information On:

David BOYLAN marries Hannah WALKER in 1859 when Pender county is not formed. Hannah WALKER dies in 1880 from complications in childbirth. Hannah's brother, Edward, remained in Pender county at the time; He and his wife, Jane, adopted the baby. David lives with Theodoshia BOYLAN PADGETT(daughter) in Pender county until his death around 1906.

I believe that David's father was Johnathan BOYLAN (Jno. in the 1860 census); David's mother was Hannah (?).

The CHADWICKs buy land as early as 1790's in the Topsail area. They helped make pews for the Topsail Presbyterian church that was built around 1870.

CRON, SANDERS posted by Roberet D. Cron on Wednesday, June 30, 1999

In early May on 1957 my brother , SSGT/George H. Cron USMC left on the MED CRUISE from camp Lejune Nc. and was killed in service May 22, 1957. In a letter I received from him dated the 14th of may, 1957 he said he was going to get married when he returned from The trip. The girl`s name was BETTY GAYLE SANDERS and he said she lived in Willimington Nc. I have very little on her ,but would like to find her if possible as she was the last person he saw outside the Military when he left. She probably was married about 1958-1960 and would have been about 20-25 years old I am guessing now, but my brother was 23 when he was killed so their ages should be close. My Brother was born June 27, 1933, so she was probably born in the mid to late 30s. I have no way of knowing she was married in New Hanover Co. but chances are she did. He said she was a Mormon, but I don`t know that for sure. Any information would be appreciated, Birth, Marriage, census, or death records should he! lp. I am grasping at straws , so I am not too optimistic. Thank you , Robert D. Cron
