CAMERON, FARIS, FARRIS posted by Linda Farris Antal on Sunday, June 2, 2002

I am looking for any information at all on William FARRIS / FARIS who lived in Wilmington (Hanover County) He is the son of Ian Esom FARRIS /FARIS & Emily Jane (Cameron) His parents came to America in 1663. William was born ABT. 1669....the last of 5 sons in Albermarle County, NC; however it was reported that William moved to Wilmington. Who did he marry there? What were his children's names? Where are the FARRIS's buried? Is it possible to get a volunteer to take a tombstone picture of his grave? Thank You Very Much! Linda Farris Antal - cantal@cinci.rr.com ** After going over the list again....I realize that some of these questions can't be answered. I should have asked if there might be a WILL for William FARRIS / FARIS....that should name his children. Sorry! Would the historical society have any information that I could get?

In the 1860 census of New Hanover County there was a place called Convin Creek. Where would that be today? Perhaps it is in Pender County? My Rooks relatives were there in 1860 Thanks Ed

BARCLAY, EASTWOOD posted by Dee Epps on Sunday, July 7, 2002

I have hit a dead end on my line and hope someone else is working on it. My ancestor is Milly (Mildred?) EASTWOOD who married John BARCLAY on 5 Oct. 1798 in New Hanover Co., NC. They moved to Cumberland Co. in early 1800's after he went bankrupt. John was a merchant in Wilmington and I believe involved in shipping too. I believe Milly's father to be Capt. James EASTWOOD who died in Wilmington, NC on 7 Oct. 1804. If you are working on this line please contact me at the email address or at 150 Wexford Ct., Stockbridge, GA 30281. Thanks, Dee Epps
