Maxwell - who were his parents, siblings, marriage etc. I have very scanty info that says he was born in New Hanover Co. NC in 1735 to a William & Elizabeth Grooms Maxwell. Also looking for info on William Smith & his family ( Should be on 1860 census). His son, William E. Smith was born in Aug. 1856.

PRICE posted by Cindy Sutton on Tuesday, May 1, 2001: PRICE- Bessie (Elizabeth) Sixeas PRICE lived in Wilmington. Her obituary states that she died 12 June 1996 in Wilmington. She was buried in Illinois where she was born in 1899. I would like to find any of her descendants who may still be living to share family history & stories. My GG-Grandfather was her Grandfather, Thomas Thornton Sixeas, of St. Thomas, Franklin Co., PA.

RILEY posted by James H. Riley on Tuesday, May 15, 2001: My ancestor, Edward RILEY, was named in his father William RILEY's will in 1744 as a minor. with brothers Willliam, Bartholomew, and John. There are numerous records of land deals and, especially, court cases up until the 1770s when he was listed in the Wilmington Town Book as a delinquent tax payer. After that, he seems to have disappeared and, I think, maybe he moved. His brother, John, died in 1778 and I think some his children stayed in New Hanover. I'd really appreciate any information or suggestions for research.

Nannie Williams was born 09 Sep 1887 in Wilmington North Caroline and died Sep 1975 in Texas. Nannie married Emmet Polk CROW. Marguerite (Maggie) Murchison HOLLADAY was born 09 Sep 1887 in Wilmington, North Carolina. Her mother died while giving birth to her. She died Mar 1980 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Maggie married Hal V. WORTH on 29 Aug 1889 in Wilmington. Their parent’s were William Waller HOLLADAY and Marguerite (Maggie) Murchison WILLIAMS. I have the ancestry of these two if needed. William Waller HOLLADAY and his Father-in-law George W. WILLIAMS built a Queen Anne style house in Wilmington for William, Maggie and the girls on 1st street. It is now a historic home in Wilmington. Due to Maggie dying in childbirth she never saw the house finished. My friend, Laura, owned this house as a B&B. Another family privately owns it. My family has very fond memories of the house and ! ! Maggie's history. Maggie is buried down the street at the old church. I would love to here from her family. I have pictures of the house and would urge any family to go and see the house. It is beautiful!

James Rogers was born about 1761-1769 and I believe that he died about 1818. There are deeds on Olive, James, Susan, Lazarus, Walter, Mathis, Mary, and Thomas Milton to George Fennell on the East side of Black River. If anyone has any information on any of these please contact me. I branch off from the son James Rogers that married the Tabitha Lee and came to Mississippi about 1847 to Hancock County, Ms. Thanks, Judy Rogers

MCDONALD posted by Thad Busby on Friday, May 18, 2001: I am looking for leads on Isaac McDonald who lived in the Southport area between 1760 and 1820. His son was William Henry McDonald who sailed out of what is now Southport. I believe at that time it was called Smithville.
