ENGLISH, JURGANIOUS, POPE posted by Mary Heydon on Saturday, August 31, 2002: Seeking information on Hinton JURGANIOUS (born abt 1880? in Greece) who was a tobacco farmer residing in Englishtown, Bladen County, NC. All of the deceased family are buried in a private cemetery on their property. Hinton married Rebeckah ENGLISH who was born in Wilmington, New Hanover County, NC and died 1936 in Wilmington. They had a daughter Estelle JURGANIOUS who married Lee POPE from South Carolina. They had a daughter Elizabeth POPE born in 1929 in Wilmington NC.

She was born June 10, 1873 and died November 23, 1906 in Chattanooga, TN. Have just learned from 1880 census that a family that fits what little is known about her may be the correct one. 1880 census place-Wilmington, New Hanover, NC John R. EVERETT age 34 Mary E. EVERETT age 36 Edward S. EVERETT age 11 John EVERETT age 9 Lucy C. EVERETT age 7 Eva G.
