Wylie T. Sikes was born ca. 1828 in NC. On his son's death certificate, it
says his father was born in Wilmington, NC. Wylie T. Sikes has been a
mystery to me. I do have his civil war records. He fought for the USA in
the 10th TN Volunteers. Any help would be appreciated. I know the Sikes/Sykes
family were prominent in Wilmington in the early 1800s, but that is all.
