Acorn Branch Cemetery
in the woods on the right at the end of John Morris Road. Take N. Kerr Ave. from Market Street or MLK to left on Morris Road to John Morris. Go to almost the end of John Morris-its very short and the cemetery is on the right in the woods. You can see the path in. Its at the end of the run way of the airport. New Hanover County Airport will eventually fence this area off and restrict access. Supposedly they will come to let you in when you ring in at a gate-if they are available.

Obediah Alexander Cemetery
from Kirkland take Market St south turn right on Alexander Rd then right on Raintree Rd and left on Pencade Rd and the cemetery will be at the end of Pencade Rd on the left in a wooden/chain link fence.

Bonham Cemetery
Turn onto Myrtle Grove Loop Rd. from Carolina Beach Rd. (Hwy 421). You will pass Williams Rd, and go about another 2 miles. Shannon Rd will be on your right. When Shannon Drive turns 90 degrees to the left, follow the straight path up behind the brick wall that can be seen from the road. The two Cemeteries are side by side, but they are distinctly separated by the brick wall and gate.

Bordeaux Cemetery
Oakley Rd. If you take HWY 117 (Castle Hayne Rd.) North from Downtown Wilmington, Oakley Rd is on the left. There is currently (2007) a Kangaroo Station at the end of the Street. Oakley Road actually turns to the left about a mile down the road. Once you turn left, the cemetery is about a half a mile on the left. There is a sign at the front that faces Oakley Road that reads Bordeaux Cemetery.

Bryan Cemetery

Take US-17 (Market St.) to Middle Sound Loop Rd. Take Middle Sound Loop Rd. to Kenmore Dr. Make a RIGHT on W. Brandywine Circle. Thorough way will be on right (179 Brandywine Circle). Go past the Woolvin-Burnett Cemetery. In its own little brick enclosure.

Canaday Family Cemetery
Take US-17 (Market St.) to Middle Sound Loop Rd. Take Middle Sound Loop Rd. to Kenmore Dr. Make a RIGHT on W. Brandywine Circle. Thorough way will be on right (179 Brandywine Circle).
Go past the Woolvin-Burnett Cemetery, and past the Buck Cemetery. This was in its own fenced area in the backyard. No one lives at the property now, hence the reason it's getting REALLY overgrown.

2 miles past Monkey Junction (421/132) up Carolina Beach Rd. Cemetery is 200-3—ft. off road on left side traveling South on 421.

Flemington Burying Grounds
Flemmington Rd. It is off of HWY 421 across the river into what would appear to be Brunswick or Pender County, but it is actually part of NHC. Cross the Stellings Bridge from Wilmington and turn right onto 421. It is about a mile down on the left and the cemetery is down quite a bit past the last home on that road. You have to go onto a dirt/gravel portion of the road and it will be on the left.

Dr Nathaniel Hill Cemetery
3725 Marathon Ave. in the field behind the house owned by Tom Radewicz. Old Rocky Road Plantation on Prince George’s Creek. Also buried there are 2 with the surname of Eagles for whom Eagles Island was named.

Hollis Family Cemetery
Friendly Lane-From the intersection of 132 and Oleander Dr, take HWY 132 South (South College Rd.) to Mohican Trail. (This is the entrance to Tanglewood) Follow this road until it ends at Masonboro Loop Road (MLR). Turn right onto MLR and take an immediate left onto Friendly lane. The cemetery is located behind the house at 207 Friendly Lane. The access is the driveway between the houses of 205 and 207.

Johnson Family Cemetery
This cemetery is beside the Bryan and Bohnam cemeteries on Shannon Dr. I have called it the Johnson Family cemetery because there are more Johnson’s there than any other name. It is separated from the other two with a brick wall for a fence all the way around and only a metal gate to enter. To find these cemeteries, Take HWY421 (Carolina Beach Road) South from Wilmington. When you come to Myrtle Grove Loop Road, turn left. Follow this road for 3 miles and Shannon Drive will be on the right. The name of the development is called Shalamoor. Turn right onto Shannon drive and when the road turns 90 degrees to the left take the path straight. You can see the brick fence from the road and the cemeteries are directly behind that fence.

Newton Homesite & Cemetery
Take HWY 421 South from Wilmington to Carolina Beach, NC. When you cross the bridge, turn right on Dow Road. Go 2.2 Miles and you will see the sign for “Federal Point United Methodist Church Cemetery”. The path is big enough for a car to pass, but the gate remains locked. But it is allowed to walk back to the site. You will come to the Federal Point Cemetery first. The Newton site is right beside the other. You will see the National Historic Signs at the entrance to the cemetery.
